Perfume consists of essential oils (parfum oil), water and alcohol. The main ingredients are natural essential oils obtained through the process of distillation or chemical separation from plants, flowers or fruits with the following basic scents:
- The smell of flowers
- The smell of fruit
- The smell of grass leaves
- The smell of herbs (drawn from traditional herbs)
- Wood smell
- The smell of tree sap
- Smells a bit human
- A musky scent (withdrawn from the genital glands of animals)
- Flavorings (including turpentine and spices)
Molecular structure of scent:
- Aldehydic: greasy but gives off other scents
- Lactonic: viscous and has the smell of ripe fruit
- Phenolic: the smell of plastic
